Body contouring involves taking a holistic approach to the patient. A treatment plan will be proposed by a multidisciplinary team.

During the consultation, we will listen to the patient’s history: variations in weight, sporting activity, genetic heritage and morphology.

The consultation can address a wide range of requests. A patient’s request is always unique, and varies according to his or her own priorities. For example, you may be concerned by a very localized defect: a small bulge, saddlebags, inner knees or thighs.

A person may come to us with a normal weight and regular exercise routine, but still be unable to get rid of a bulge. A bulge can be an embarrassment when it comes to dressing, and the image you have of yourself in a swimsuit or underwear…

Patients seeking to improve their overall figure without having stabilized their weight. Then there are those who are in transition in their lifestyle: “I want to resume sporting activity”, “I want to change my diet”…

The aim is to shape their body, but also to feel better about themselves. Social pressure places great importance on the image we project, so we need to keep an objective and reasonable view of our expectations.

In the case of overweight, the figure becomes a secondary issue, and the consultation will consist of dealing with the medical or pathological aspects of the person. There are metamorphoses in everyone’s history: the body is constantly changing. The body of a child, adolescent or adult will gain and lose weight. These changes and the wide variations in weight have an impact on the body and the quality of the skin. These parameters help us to understand what we want to improve our figure.

We can treat localized bulges or seek to refine the overall silhouette. You’ll also need to take action in terms of diet and regular exercise.

Medicine and surgery offer techniques to help patients shape their figure. Solutions that are less invasive than surgery are available, and will improve comfort and self-confidence. Modifying the contours of the silhouette improves little things like the way we dress… We’re not solving any health problems, but we’re living better every day.

Today, we have different tools to respond to requests for body contouring. These tools are medical, surgical, nutritional and sporting, and can be used separately or in combination to optimize results and meet the needs of each patient.

One of the goals of medical silhouette treatment is to select the tools that have proven their efficacy and safety. Cryolipolysis consists in using the action of cold to reduce a volume of fat; certain safe devices present few risks. Laser hyperthermia uses a thermal effect on the water contained in fatty tissue; some safe devices present little risk.

Cryolipolysis and hyperthermia are non-invasive procedures requiring neither anesthesia nor hospitalization. With cryolipolysis and hyperthermia, however, results cannot be predicted, and some patients may experience inadequate results (around 10%).

Liposuction involves the reduction of fatty tissue by suction, with the aim of reducing larger volumes. With liposuction, the volumes removed are more easily controlled.

Surgical techniques, such as abdominal wall or inner thigh lifts, can be used to tighten the skin.
