QUESTIONS/ANSWERS

Patients are invited to notify us of the type of procedure they would like to have carried out by filling in the contact form. In addition to your contact details, it is very important to send photos of the area(s) on which you would like an operation. Dr. Abdelaali will take it upon himself to review your file, make the diagnosis and the best indications, as well as assessing the possibility of combining or not combining the requested procedures.

Once your file has been studied and a diagnosis has been made, you can contact Dr. Abdelaali directly to obtain as many details as possible, as well as the necessary information on the procedures and their follow-up. You will be asked to provide a biological and, in some cases, radiological report.

Once you have agreed on the cost estimate and the dates of your operation and your stay, you will be given advice on what medication to avoid, and how to stop smoking and drinking alcohol.

Interventions take place at the Clinique le Bardo or the Clinique Amilcar, depending on the availability of the operating theatre on the chosen date.

The length of your surgery and your stay varies. (The average duration is noted in the table under the heading: fees).
In the case of an interventional combination, the operating time and length of stay will differ and will be communicated to you by Dr Abdelaali once the diagnosis has been made, so that you have sufficient convalescence time on site, depending on the type of intervention.

Your stay begins with your transfer from the airport to the clinic. After the operation and the necessary stay at the clinic, you can leave the clinic to end your stay in Tunisia at a hotel, or stay at the clinic for the whole of your stay, depending on your wishes.
Before formulating your quotation, Dr Abdelaali will explain the number of days you will need to spend at the clinic, depending on your operation and the length of your stay in Tunisia.

Most operations are performed under general anaesthetic. When you arrive at the clinic “with a biological and radiological check-up already requested and completed”, you will have a consultation with the clinic’s anaesthetist, who will already be familiar with your file.

Prices depend on the type of intervention required.
(See Fees).
In the event of an interventional combination and after studying your file, you will receive a detailed and definitive estimate including all costs.

After the convalescence period in Tunisia and the advice and treatments to be taken, as well as any lymphatic drainage to be done, your surgeon will accompany you throughout the post-operative phase. He can be contacted at any time for further information or questions.
