A “brow lift” in cosmetic surgery generally refers to a procedure designed to lift and tighten the skin of the forehead and upper face. This procedure is commonly referred to as a “forehead lift” or “brow lift”.

The goal of a brow lift is to address sagging or ptosis of the eyebrows and forehead skin, which can be caused by aging, genetics or other factors. During the procedure, a surgeon can remove excess skin, adjust the underlying muscles and reposition the eyebrows to create a more youthful, lifted appearance.

There are various techniques for performing a brow lift, including traditional surgical methods involving incisions made along the hairline or endoscopic methods using smaller incisions and a camera for guidance. The choice of technique depends on each individual’s anatomy, goals and the surgeon’s preference.

Cosmetic surgery procedures, including brow lifts, carry risks and require careful consideration.

Although the use of botulinum toxin has reduced the indications for this type of facelift, it remains a temporary and not a definitive treatment.

A brief mention of the eyebrow lift, a surgical procedure that raises the eyebrow by resecting the skin just above it. The incision made during the procedure is very discreet. It follows the natural contours of the upper and outer brow. A brow lift is also available to lower the eyebrow.
